The weather is warming up in the Bay Area and this is a refreshing and healthy mixed fruit smoothie to cool down with. It is sweetened with a dash of honey and frozen fruit add a refreshing chill to the drink.
Yogurt is another addition that I try and add to all my smoothies, as it’s a great way to add some healthy probiotics to your diet.
This is a simple recipe and I use my trusty Vitamix to whip up these smoothies on a regular basis.
Add milk, a ripe banana and yogurt to the blender. I have used 2% fat milk. You can use whole milk for a richer smoothie, or use another substitute for mil here like Almond Milk or Soy Milk.
Next add frozen berry and fruit mix. I use the frozen fruit mixes available in Costco. I have used the triple berry mix and the day break blend which includes peaches, pineapple, mango and strawberry. You can use you favorite fruit blends or a mix of fruit blends like I have.
If you are using fresh fruit, cut back on the milk and add some ice to make it cold.
Top it off with honey or a sweetener of your choice. This is optional, but I found that I needed a dash of extra honey.
Blend and serve. My daughter loves the frothy bubbles.
This is a great way to add some extra fruit servings to your daily meals.
Garnish with fresh fruit if desired.

Mixed Fruit Smoothie

Mixed Fruit Smoothie
Ingredients
- 18 oz Milk
- 3/4 cup yoghurt

- 2 tbsp honey (optional)
Directions
Add all ingredients to the blender in the order listed and blend for 30 seconds. Serve immediately.
Notes
– Blend time will vary depending on the blender you use. Vitamix is a high speed blender. If using a regular blender just blend a little longer.
